What is kinesiology?
Kinesiology is the science of muscle testing. Muscle testing is a form of biofeedback. To muscle test a particular muscle it is held in its contracted state. Slow, gentle, steady pressure is then used to move the muscle through its normal range of motion. If the muscle easily holds it is considered to be giving a positive feedback response. In Kinesiology the use of muscle testing is used to determine the body’s response to many different types of stress that a person is dealing with, and which ones they are successfully handling. Muscle testing allows the identification of ways to enhance or upgrade our response to stress; to include the stress responses to physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of our lives.
The types of kinesiology that are practiced here are Applied Kinesiology, Touch for Health, the 3 in 1 System, and Brain Gym.
Touch for Health
Touch for Health is a holistic approach to health which teaches the restoring of our natural energies. It is a practical guide to natural health using acupressure, touch and massage to improve postural balance and reduce physical and mental pain and tension.
Brain Gym
Is a movement based system that helps support learning from inside out by stimulating sensory, auditory systems. This allows a person to relate to there own internal structure so they can learn more effectively.
